Sunday, December 11th we would have gone to church, but we were on our one "at sea" day.
We began our Sunday with this insane, amazing brunch in the main restaurant. Seriously. So. Much. Food. As you can see, there were tables and tables of good things to eat including but not limited to, 2 chocolate fountains, meats, cheeses, sushi, eggs benedict, waffles, pancakes, omelets, hash, pastries of all kinds, etc.
This was my first plate. The mini napoleon and the eggs benedict were the best but it was all good. Bacon, doughnut, waffle with cream and...
the cutest cream puff you've ever seen!
After gorging ourselves we went to the pool and sun deck of course!
It rained a bit, but was still sunny long enough to catch some rays. After lounging in public we went back to our room and lounged on our balcony. Here is a view.
The sunset was so pretty.
That night was the first of our 2 formal nights on the ship. We had to dress up. It was fun, but David was super angry that he doesn't own a sport coat. He just kept talking about how ridiculous he looked in this old suit coat from his mission. Maybe one day, when he's all grown up, he'll get a sport coat or a blazer.
Dinner was amazing. I started out with fruit.
We had some salads too then David got this rack of lamb which he said was awesome, especially with the mint jelly. He LOVED it.
I got this plank grilled salmon dish. So good. Have I mentioned all the food was so good?
This apple tart for dessert was incredible. The french really know how to make a caramel sauce!
After dinner we wandered into some karaoke that was going on. Actually, there was hardly anyone there and even fewer people willing to sing. GREAT! I sang 2 songs. My traditional, standby karaoke song, Pat Benatar's Hit Me With Your Best Shot (shown here with me rockin' it) and Pat's We Belong. I was going to do another because no one was going, but they ended it.
David got up and did the Moulin Rouge movie version of Your Song (so by Elton John but as sung by Ewan McGregor). It was awesome.
After that rockin' out, we walked around and called it a night.

Oh that food looks amazing! After starving for 2 weeks i think i would eat mh weight in all that goodness. Love that you did karaoke! Seriously looks so fun!
