Barbados Adventures

Monday the 12th we docked in our first port, Barbados!

We immediately found a cab and he took us to the beach. We heard that Barbados has some of the best beaches on our trip. The beach our cab driver recommended was a private beach behind this bright yellow awesomeness.

Our cab driver said it was his favorite. I don't know if that is the truth, but it didn't disappoint. It was beautiful.

I love the panoramic feature on my camera. I used it a lot this trip. Just click on the photo for a better view!

Yea! Warm weather! I love it when it's hot and humid.

We got to be out on the beach for a little while and then it started pouring rain. Luckily this storm was the worst it rained on our trip and it only lasted about an hour. We hung out here at the beach bar/restaurant while it rained.

To keep people from fleeing the premises, the bar manager announced free shots! That's the bar tender up on the bar. Many people were happy to partake. We did not.

Tropical rain is the best.

We weren't sure how long it was going to rain and we wanted to see the city so we ventured out in the downpour and wandered around.

A pretty church in the middle of downtown.

It stopped raining eventually.

I love the way all the buildings in the Caribbean are so colorful. Mexico is like that too.

We boarded the ship around 5pm and got some french fries, of course.

Then a rainbow came out. Yes, it was a double rainbow for awhile, but I didn't get a pic of that.

More eating at dinner that night. Crab cakes.

More fruit.

Steaks!

Chocolate!

We wandered the ship again. Here is David in front of the stairs on one of the main decks. They had it all decorated pretty for Christmas.

Seriously! We are ridiculous! More desserts we ate before bed.

Wow. I think we just ate and ate and ate this trip. Like I said, we did workout at least!
