I Won A Trip To Barbados! Adventures

My updates on the rest of 2012 are interrupted by this exciting announcement! I won a 4 night trip to Barbados for 2!!! I'm so excited. It's crazy!

So on Wednesday I got an email from an Elena informing me that I was the grand prize winner of a trip to Barbados that I entered in December from Hapari Swimwear. Now, I love Hapari and have bloggled about them in the past. I have bought swimwear from them so I get emails from them occasionally announcing sales and such. Well, I guess last month they sent out an email saying to "like" them on facebook and be entered into a contest to win this trip. Usually, like everyone else, I just delete emails and very rarely enter contests, but I guess this day I was feeling contesty so I did it. Fast forward to this past Wednesday and I get this email in my inbox saying I'm the grand prize winner! Of course I was extremely skeptical. Who believes an email saying you've won anything? No one, but I love Hapari and think they are a reputable company and vaguely remembered entering said contest, so I emailed the sender back stating that I'd love to be a winner, but I needed to know that is wasn't a scam. I also went straight to the Hapari facebook site and sent the following message:

A few minutes later the following facebook conversation ensued:

True to their word the announcement was made today on Hapari's facebook page:

Can you believe it?! I can't. Who wins this stuff? Not me! Ever! I am just over the moon. How crazy is this? After I had it confirmed to me on Wednesday that it was not a scam I called David. I was laughing hysterically. He was so excited too.

So basically this is what I won, a trip for 2 to the Barbados Hilton for 4 nights. This includes airfare and the hotel. I'm so excited. Check out the Barbados Hilton:

A.mazing. Luckily with all of David's travelling for work we get free upgrades at Hiltons! Double bonus! And with hotel points maybe we can stay for a whole week! Triple bonus! I'm just beside myself with excitement.
